It’s not often a kitchen tool makes me stop and admire it, but this one does—the hand-carved grain lines are genuinely lovely on the table. Spread some butter on it for a dinner party and it instantly becomes a conversation piece.

The carved surface catches butter perfectly, and the wood grain gives it such an old-world feel. I’ve been using it for our morning toast and it’s already a favorite piece on the table.

Bought this for our Sunday bread and butter nights and it's become the centerpiece of the table. The wood has a nice weight to it, and the shallow carved grooves actually hold a pat of soft butter without it sliding onto the tablecloth. Feels like something that's been in the family for years.
